TRIP TO SANTA MARTA: CLINICAL CONGRESS OF PSYCHOLOGY

Santa Marta is one of the tourist destinations most valued by Colombians and increasingly by foreigners who visit it. It is the capital of the Department of Magdalena, was founded in July 1525 by Rodrigo de Bastidas, has the honor of being the first city founded in Colombia and the second in South America. This in turn is located on the beautiful shores of the Caribbean Sea, There is the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a site of great interest, in the journey that I will tell you, a wonderful experience I had in that city, I had the opportunity to take a photograph where the mountain is visible, observe it..

I started my trip to Santa Marta while I was studying my profession, psychology. I traveled with the intention of attending a clinical psychology conference in which I took a period of five days, in which I had the opportunity not only to expand my academic knowledge, but also also cultural about tourist sites on the city.

 I met the statue of our famous former footballer the "pibe" valderrama of our colombia.I chose the opportunity to visit the villa of san pedro de alejandrino, historical house and museum of simón bolivar, I also knew the beaches of taganta and rodadero , were very beautiful memories. I went dancing all night until dawn with my friends, a girls night, no men in the famous breakwater an interesting disco-bar to distract a bit after a long day of academic work.

I knew the house, large hotel, in fact we stayed there and the attention was excellent, a comfortable place, with pool and all the extensions of a hotel to spend a good quiet night.

Among the typical dishes of santa marta are the carimañolas that are made from cassava with ground beef filling, accompanied by a delicious coastal serum, the arepas of egg, rice with chipichipi, fried fish and fish soup, among others dishes.

From this trip I learned that traveling is a significant experience, it allows us to know new cultures and forms, lifestyles as typical traditions of each region of our Colombia, a country so diverse and culturally rich.
